Midfield
The midfield could be the most entertaining part of the 2026 Formula 1 season
The front of the grid still commands the spotlight, but the most compelling week-to-week contest may be developing just behind it. The midfield appears tightly packed, volatile and sensitive to even the smallest performance shifts.
That is usually where Formula 1 becomes most entertaining. When several teams are operating within tiny margins, clean execution matters more, small setup errors hurt more and a single strong qualifying session can transform an entire weekend.
If these gaps remain compressed, the midfield will not just produce noise. It will produce consequence. And that tends to make for the best kind of season.
